Platform flexibility
The compact USB-C dongle supports Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch, Meta Quest, phones and tablets, giving it broad device reach for one headset.
Wireless mode switching
A button toggles between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth 5.3, making a call or media switch straightforward in concept.
Battery and charging
The headset is rated for 60 hours, and a 15-minute USB-C charge provides six hours of use, reducing the need for long charging breaks.
Audio customization
More than 100 game presets in the Companion App give players multiple starting points for tailoring game audio.
On-headset controls
Power, mute, volume, ChatMix and Quick-Switch controls are on the headset, so common adjustments do not require reaching for another device.
Microphone feature set
The retractable ClearCast 2.X microphone uses a high-bandwidth chipset supporting 32KHz/16Bit audio; that is a useful specification for voice-focused gaming, though it does not establish call quality in every setting.

Who Should Buy Arctis Nova 5X?
Good fit
Choose the Arctis Nova 5X if you want one wireless headset to cover Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Switch and mobile devices through its USB-C dongle, with Bluetooth available for calls or media.
It is also a fit for players who value long intervals between charges and like adjusting game audio through app presets and on-headset ChatMix controls.
Who should skip it
If active noise cancellation or Transparency Mode is essential, check for those features before choosing. Otherwise, the 60-hour battery and quick switch between 2.4GHz gaming and Bluetooth make it a versatile option for gaming and calls.

Arctis Nova 5X Review Analysis
Wireless flexibility for gaming and daily use
The two connection modes target different parts of a gaming routine: 2.4GHz for gaming and Bluetooth 5.3 for calls or media.
A tap-based switch gives the headset a clear role for users who want to move between those uses without choosing one connection style for the whole day.
A useful console and device spread
Xbox support is a central buying advantage for players who also use PC, PlayStation, Switch or mobile devices.
The dongle is described as compact, which may help when moving between setups, while the range of compatible devices makes this a practical single-headset candidate for mixed platforms.
Battery claims and charging rhythm
A 60-hour rating is generous for a wireless headset, and the stated 15-minute charge return can help when the battery is low before a session.
Buyers should treat those figures as published maximum-use guidance rather than a promise for every volume, connection pattern or usage mix.
App tuning and practical controls
The Companion App’s library of more than 100 presets is aimed at game-specific tuning, while the headset’s ChatMix and Quick-Switch buttons keep common adjustments close at hand.
These features favor players who enjoy shaping their setup, although the value of presets depends on whether the available profiles suit the games they play.

The app presets and on-ear controls add practical flexibility for players who like adjusting their audio setup.
